Indiana Proudly Celebrates its Growing Garden Culture
Gardens are the cornerstone of sustainable communities. They connect us to the land, they connect us to each other and they provide an important component of our food security.
Indiana’s garden culture is growing by leaps and bounds. This should be celebrated as the revival of gardening is both a gift to ourselves and a legacy to future generations!
On August 18, 2012 Hoosiers across Indiana did celebrate by hosting garden parties and recognizing Hoosier gardens and gardeners to be added to the growing Bicentennial Green-Legacy Honor Rolls. Efforts to showcase innovative gardens/gardeners across Indiana will
continue through Indiana’s Bicentennial in 2016.
